The tours take place in the winter period (from November to April) from 8:30 to 17:30*

*The starting times of the tour have a flexibility of 30 minutes with respect to the departure time which can be selected in the booking form.

Castel Sant’angelo is about 10 minutes walk from the Basilica.
Possibility of direct access from the Sistine Chapel to St. Peter’s Basilica subject to restrictions.
In case of closure of the direct passage from the Museums to the Basilica, the walking distance is approximately 20 minutes.

The ticket is free for children between the ages of 0 and 2. By “reduced” we mean children aged 2 to 18 and students up to 25 years of age. For the reduction it is necessary to present an identity document. Students must have a valid university booklet or a valid International Student Card.
Anyone who buys a ticket and / or service at a reduced rate without being entitled to it, or who does not present the documentation relating to the reduction, must provide for the integration of the amount due for the purchase of a new ticket and / or service at full rate. Tickets purchased are non-refundable.
The shoulders and knees must be covered. Low-cut or sleeveless tops or t-shirts, and trousers above the knee will not be allowed. Entry may be denied if dress requirements are not met.
Possible unavailability
It may happen that due to internal provisions of the Vatican some areas of the visiting spaces are temporarily closed to the public.
Additional information
Due to the standardization of the tour itineraries, not all tours inside the Vatican Museums are open to visitors in wheelchairs. Upon request, an ad hoc tour can be organized.
